I like that my aunt mary joe lives here, she’s probably my best friend. i like that there is public transportation. i like that things stay open late. i like that there are huge thrift stores. i like that you can live relatively inexpensively. 

i lived in china town for a few months and i enjoyed that, but when i got an apartment in brooklyn over a year ago when i was pursuing modeling i really didn’t enjoy the city. everyone says ‘you can be whoever you want in new york’ but i can be whoever i want where ever i want, i mean people stared at me in nyc just as much as they do in chicago. and nyc is so expensive that i cant afford any of the culture that would be the motivation for me to move there. but the main reason i didn’t love new york city was the crushing feeling of loneliness i felt from everyone.
